How long have you been a member of Grace Fellowship?

We’ve been coming to Grace Fellowship for about 11 years and have been members for a little less than that.

What do you do as a career?

I am a School Counselor at Andover High School. I’ve been a Counselor for about 24 years and in education for over 27 years. I work with high school students on their academic, social/personal, and post-secondary goals.

Could you tell us about your family?

I’ve been married to my husband Dave for almost 27 years. We have 2 daughters and a son-in-law. Quinn is married and is moving to Florida with her husband Andrew. Reese is a senior this year and is headed to the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the fall.

Where do you serve at Grace Fellowship?

I currently serve in Guest Services and welcome visitors at the “I’m New” kiosks. I’ve had a few other roles, including 3 years as Clerk of the Elder Board. My husband and I attend Small Group and he is part of the Security Team.

What are your passions?

I love spending time with my immediate and extended family. I recently got my dog certified as a Therapy Dog and have been able to introduce him into my work as a School Counselor. Animals are amazing! I’m transitioning to being an empty-nester and am open to new experiences as I move to this new chapter in my life.

Why do you want to serve as an elected leader/Elder at Grade Fellowship?

I believe that God calls us into roles to be servant leaders and to bring our own unique voices and experiences to further His Kingdom. I don’t necessarily feel fully equipped to take on this leadership opportunity, but trust that God will make a way. I’m focused on helping Grace Fellowship be the church its parishioners need to stretch and grow us as a faith community.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Here is my verse leading into this time: If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you (James 1:5).
