Suzy Scheller

Grace Fellowship and its surrounding communities have been home for Suzy Scheller and her family for over 23 years. She has been a follower of Christ as long as she can remember, pursuing God and taking risks to show the love of Christ to others. Her goal is to make the most of every opportunity, using the abilities and experiences God provides. She is intentional about using those strengths in her local community and beyond.

At Grace Fellowship Suzy currently serves as a leader in Kids and Youth ministry. Over the years, she has organized prayer and service events, led small groups, taught adult classes, and volunteered in most all capacities. Believing strongly in community, Suzy serves in the areas of education, with the elderly, and at various charitable organizations. In the schools, her gifts of administration, vision, and leadership led her to create and organize several school programs and events and to be a Board member on the Anoka Hennepin Educational Foundation. She has also been the president of the Champlin Park High School Nordic Ski Booster Club. Suzy started her own law firm, Scheller Legal Solutions LLC, in Champlin and practices in the areas of elder abuse and neglect, representing older and vulnerable adults, as well as in estate planning and probate. She is an adjunct faculty member at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Biblical respect for the elder community led Suzy to be a founder of the Minnesota Elder Justice Center and Elder Voice Family Advocates, including drafting laws and policies to protect older adults. Suzy is a frequent speaker and teacher, again striving to use any gifts God provides to the best of her ability. Suzy graduated from University of Northwestern St. Paul with a degree in math education. She earned her law degree from Hamline University as a second career student.

Suzy’s family is her greatest joy. Suzy has been married to her husband Joe for 30 years and has four children, Abby, Tim, Peter, and Mark, who have all been active at Grace Fellowship. Mark, the youngest, graduates from high school this year, so Suzy is embracing the change that comes with the next season of life, including continuing to serve at Grace Fellowship. With change comes opportunity. God is good.
