Senior High is a place designed for you to connect with God in an authentic, real way. Our purpose is that faith in Christ is not just a “phase” you go through in high school, but is truly a lifelong commitment. A place where people can struggle and ask challenging questions about faith, life, and belief in God without fear. Our belief is to love on people, allow grace and mercy, and show people what life change looks like. There is nothing more amazing then watching beliefs and values become students own as they begin to understand and embrace faith in Christ.
Live Intentionally For Eternity!
When I was 17 my youth pastor asked me if I would like to lead a small group of guys. I was humbled, honored and nervous all at the same time. Though I was hesitant, I accepted his offer and began meeting with a group of young guys every Tuesday morning at McDonalds. We talked about how God was teaching us, our struggles and our victories. Through this year of being with these guys, I saw God drastically work in each one of their lives. I saw them make huge spiritual breakthroughs and grow stronger in their relationship with Jesus! During the year I spent with these guys, God began to develop in me a calling to go into youth ministry! I have been a part of Grace Fellowship staff since 2015 and I absolutely love ministering to students and leaders during my time here. I was a full-time youth pastor for the past 4 years at Church of Hope in Elk River. I absolutely love working with senior high students. I have a heart for cultivating discipleship and spiritual growth in the lives of young people. I have a bachelor’s degree in youth and family studies from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul. I am also currently working on my Master of Arts in Theological studies also from UNW. My wife Rachel and I live in Champlin with our beautiful son Jonah and our two dogs Ming and Lexi. Aside from my love for Jesus and my family, working with senior high students is my passion. I love to have fun, go deep and challenge students and leaders in their faith. I believe that God has called each one of us to follow Him with our whole lives. I am certainly not perfect, our senior high program is not perfect, but we serve a perfect God who loves us and who sees us as perfect through His son Jesus! I am committed to working as hard as I can to do what God has called me to do and to not settle for anything but the best I can give!
